Furthermore, more and more people are using electronic cigarettes to quit smoking.

There are claims that e-cigarettes contain only nicotine with small amount of tar oil, and therefore are not the source of cancer, respiratory, heart and/or cerebrovascular diseases. This is because they do not contain tar, and nicotine in e-cigarettes is not a carcinogen, but rather just an addictive substance for smoker’s moods. Because of these positive stories, e-cigarettes are becoming popular for many smokers as a means of smoking cessation or alternatives.

But being less harmful compared to regular cigarettes does not mean e-cigarettes are not harmful at all. Electronic cigarettes also have carcinogens such as benzopyrene and benzene, which can cause a variety of diseases. Nicotine, an aforementioned addictive substance, is known to cause similar effects as they do in regular cigarettes. For example, there has been a surge in e-cigarette disease cases in the United States recently, with 530 cases of lung disease, including at least seven deaths, associated with e-cigarettes reported in 38 US states in 2019. In particular, most patients have experience using products containing THC, a marijuana component. The proportion of youth is also increasing rapidly, which is causing serious social problems. As a result, the state of Massachusetts, USA, has a four-month ban on all electronic cigarette products.

In addition to this, e-cigarettes that use batteries present a risk of explosion. In United States, for instance, a 17-year-old boy, who was smoking a ‘Mech Mod’ electronic cigarette, suffered a serious injury from an explosion of the product that broke his jaw and teeth. In Korea, an e-cigarette that an army soldier put in combat suit pants exploded, resulting in severe burns.

To help you stop using e-cigarettes, we present to you the General Quit Smoking app.

Although the quit smoking app is related to general cigarettes, this app is specifically for electronic cigarettes. Also, at the end of the experiment, the participants can obtain information on which quit smoking apps were the most effective.

If you want to quit e-cigarettes

Those who want to reduce the use of electronic cigarettes,

We hope you find the most effective quit smoking app with us and achieve what you mean!

Then, please join, along witha lot of interested people.

[Precautions]

(1) Minors are not allowed to participate.

(2) This study judges only on the lifestyle of electronic cigarette users, and does not increase excessive usage.

(3) No smoking app. Feel free to download and participate.
